O not sO!

Your federal government just don't get it. Under direction of the president, the attorney general Eric Holder, and the US Department of Justice, is filing a lawsuit against the state of ARIZONA and its Immigration Laws recently passed and will soon go into effect.
The Feds believe that Arizona(its citizen elected state [representatives) has broken federal law. The government has two ways to go here. Under premption laws in the constitution, the Feds will argue that "NO state may make laws which are in direct conflict with Federal law."
1. For example: If Arizona passed a law saying the people of Arizona do NOT have to pay IRS taxes. This clearly violates the Federal government's Income Tax laws and wud of course be illegal.
2. the State of Arizona policies undermine their citizens(illegal aliens)rights. (hhmmm since when do illegals have citizenship?) and herein lies the problem!
Arizona claims the Feds are not doing their job, so Arizona has states rights to protect its citizens.

The feds say this immigration law conflicts with Federal law, because state laws must work within federal guidelines and follow federal law.

This position by the Feds involves the supremacy clause of the constitution. #1 Federal law prempts state law.
#2 Arizona is in conflict with federal law.

The job of the supreme court- will be to decide if this Arizona law disfavors premption, and is in conflict with Federal law.

BTW...the state of Arizona is 7 for 7 in defeating all challenges to this law. The feds have a big challenge here, and is unlikely to prevail against Arizona. Time will tell. And lucky for you, there will be NO politics allowed and the rights of states to pass legislation to protect their citizens will prevail.

Have a gr8 day.

A~
