Music the Grammy

I watched the Grammy's and was sad to see that the production quality and performances (flat and off key)... I know we've dummy downed Tv but not the Grammy's, not MUSIC.. I use to believe there was no bad music. Well I still believe that. What I know now is that there is a lot of new music, and artists that I don't have an ear for. Trust me I've got great ears! I listen well.
I don't want you think I'm putting down any genre or performer. Hey, if your ON the Grammy's your a winner in my book. I guess I saw the 'packaging' of star hopefuls, hard to miss, and sometimes covering up music.
I watched the first telecast of the Grammy's (I was 12) and so I've been a fan of music all my life. It's the visual.... the look.... use to be the Music Video is now Video Music.
Video clips to promote music artists goes way back. 20's 30's ?
Back then it was to get the word out. Now it's for sale. It has become THE product. I fear that the quality and performance of the music is fading. Thanks for reading me and I appreciate your comments.
