Starting a blog

I felt like it was time for me to start a blog. As a writer, I think this will give me a good outlet instead of writing in a journal.

How many people are surprised to learn that even though the name is GayFRIENDfinder, there are an awful lot of men looking for sex instead?

I guess one of the things that has always frustrated me about being gay is that there seems to be a one track mind when it comes to what a real relationship is. When I look for a friend, I mean a friend. I don't mean someone with whom I will cheat on my spouse of 13 years with. I would enjoy being able to talk to other men that are gay without having to worry if they are going to jump me.. or worse yet.. jump my partner. I am hoping that there are a few gay men out there that are not screaming queens, who like to do outdoor things such as fishing, camping, playing frisbee golf, or any other non-sexual activities.

While I am not the best looking pup on the block, I do not think I am scary looking. The question becomes then, why do people care what you look like when it comes to being a friend? If we're friends, doesn't that kind of eliminate at least partially the appearance aspect? I am not talking about the actions portion of appearance here, just the physical. I can understand not wanting to go certain places with a gay man that is flamboyantly gay.

Anyway, I welcome any feedback. I enjoyed writing this.
